For reductions, the inner diameter is specified on one side and the outer diameter on the other.

The reduction has an outer diameter of 50mm and an inner diameter of 40mm and is 31mm short overall.

Example of a "long tapered reduction 50-40mm x 25mm":
The reduction has an outer diameter of 50mm and an inner diameter of 40mm on the "left" side and an inner diameter of 25mm on the "right" side.

Material and Processing:
 

The high-quality PVC fittings are manufactured from PVC-U, this rigid PVC material is particularly durable and has good chemical resistance.
Since the fittings are coated with a grease film after production, it is important to clean the fittings with a cleaner before solvent welding and remove the grease film.
Cleaning the fittings is the basis for cementing them together, because if the fittings are not properly cleaned, the adhesive cannot fully adhere to the surface.
Initially, you should use more adhesive, as too little adhesive will only become apparent after completion through leakage.
