How to Use (Step-by-Step)
- Step 1: Prepare the Trench: Dig a trench with the appropriate width and depth according to your local building codes. Ensure the trench bed is level and free of sharp objects. See Figure 1.
- Step 2: Measure and Cut the Pipe (If Necessary): Measure the required length of the pipe and cut it using a fine-toothed saw. Ensure the cut is clean and square. See Figure 2.
- Step 3: Clean the Pipe Ends: Clean the inside of the socket and the outside of the spigot end with a PVC cleaner. This ensures a proper seal. See Figure 3.
- Step 4: Apply Lubricant: Apply a PVC lubricant to the spigot end of the pipe. This helps ease the insertion into the socket. See Figure 4.
- Step 5: Join the Pipes: Insert the spigot end into the socket end, pushing firmly until the pipe is fully seated against the socket stop. See Figure 5.
- Step 6: Backfill the Trench: Backfill the trench with soil, compacting it in layers to provide support to the pipe. See Figure 6.
