- Easy to Disassemble and Reuse: Threaded stainless steel fittings can be easily unscrewed and reused, unlike welded or glued fittings which are permanent.
- Universal Compatibility: The 1" female threaded design is compatible with a wide range of standard pipes and fittings, providing flexibility in your plumbing system.
- Safe for Potable Water: Stainless steel 316 is approved for use in potable water systems, ensuring that your drinking water remains safe and free from contamination.
- Aesthetically Pleasing: Stainless steel fittings offer a clean, professional look that can enhance the appearance of your plumbing system, particularly in exposed applications.
How to Use
- Step 1: Prepare the Pipes: Ensure that the pipes you are connecting are clean and free from any debris. - See Figure 1
- Step 2: Apply Thread Sealant: Wrap Teflon tape or apply pipe thread sealant to the male threads of the pipes you will be connecting. This will ensure a tight and leak-proof seal.
- Step 3: Connect the Coupling: Screw the 1" Stainless Steel Coupling onto one of the male threaded pipes. Tighten it by hand until it is snug.
- Step 4: Connect the Second Pipe: Screw the other male threaded pipe into the opposite end of the coupling. Again, tighten it by hand until it is snug.
- Step 5: Tighten with a Wrench: Use a wrench to further tighten the coupling. Be careful not to overtighten, as this could damage the threads. A few additional turns should be sufficient.
- Step 6: Test for Leaks: Turn on the water supply and check for any leaks around the coupling. If you find any leaks, tighten the coupling slightly more until the leak stops.
