Care: Sow 3 - 4 cm deep and in rows 20 cm apart. Maintain a sowing distance of 2 - 3 cm in the row. Then thin out to 3x20 cm if the plants are too dense. Prefers a sunny to partially shaded location and a nutritious, loose soil.
Tip: Due to their short cultivation period, turnip are the ideal precursor and succeeding crop on empty beds. They are among the first spring vegetables.
Sowing: March - April, July - August
Germination: 5 - 10 days at 6 - 18 °C
Harvest: Spring sowing: June - July; Summer sowing: October
