Info: Annual, white flowering spice and medicinal herb, vigorously growing, densely foliated and robust. Height 20 - 40 cm. Can be used fresh or dried. Especially for Italian dishes, to refine salads, dressings, fish, lamb, ragout, and tomatoes.
Care: Sow in rows with 25 cm spacing, press lightly, do not cover or cover lightly with soil (light germinator!) and keep moist. From mid-May, plant out or thin out with a spacing of 25x25 cm. Likes sunny, warm locations and permeable, humus-rich garden soils. Temperature preferably above 18°C. Also cultivable in a pot all year round, possibly with additional light.
Tip: Young shoots and leaves can be continuously harvested until flowering. To preserve, place in oil or hang shoots for drying in an airy place.
Sowing: March - May indoors, mid-May - June in open ground
Germination: 14 - 21 days at 16 - 25°C, light germinator
