Info: Perennial, attractive spice and medicinal herb with a strong-spicy, slightly bitter aroma. Semi-shrub with woody shoots and deep blue flowers, height 40 - 60 cm. Young shoots and leaves are used, fresh or dried, for seasoning salads, sauces, and meat dishes. Also suitable for planting in ornamental gardens.
Care: Sow in trays, press lightly, do not cover with soil (light germinator!) and keep moist. Direct sowing with 20 cm row spacing possible. Plant out or thin out at 20x20 cm. Prefers sunny-warm, dry locations and well-drained, poor soils.
Tip: A pretty perennial for the natural garden, very good butterfly and insect food plant. Cut back plants after winter.
Sowing: March - May preferably indoors, also outdoors
Germination: 14 - 20 days at 15 - 20°C, light germinator
Harvest: June - October, from March 2nd year
