Info: Annual, height about 20 cm. Single-flowered, bright, golden-yellow flowers with a reddish-brown 'cross'. Compact, bushy growth. Popular for bedding, borders, grave planting, as well as containers, pots, and balcony boxes. Very durable cut flower for small bouquets.
Care: Uncomplicated. Sow 0.5 cm deep, press lightly and keep moist. Prick out seedlings after 1 - 2 weeks and plant out or thin to a distance of 20x20 cm from mid-May to June. Likes sunny to partially shaded locations in any well-drained, nutrient-rich garden soil.
Tip: An important plant in the nature-oriented garden. Marigolds are well suited for the biological control of nematodes.
Sowing: March - April indoors, from May outdoors
Germination: 7 - 15 days at 18 - 22°C
Bloom: June - October
