Step 2: Apply Thread Sealant: Apply Teflon tape or pipe sealant to the male threads of the pipes to ensure a watertight seal.
Step 3: Connect the Valve: Screw the ball valve onto the pipes, tightening securely with a wrench. Be careful not to overtighten, which could damage the threads.
Step 4: Test for Leaks: Turn on the water supply and check for any leaks around the connections. If leaks are present, tighten the connections further or reapply thread sealant.
Step 5: Operation: Use the lever handle to control the flow of liquids. The valve is fully open when the lever is parallel to the pipe and fully closed when the lever is perpendicular to the pipe.
Step 6: Maintenance: Periodically check the valve for leaks and ensure the lever handle moves freely. Lubricate the handle if necessary.
