How to Use (Step-by-Step)

1. Step 1: Prepare the Surface - Ensure the wood is clean, dry, and free of any old finishes. Use a deck cleaner to remove dirt, mildew, and algae. See Figure 1.
2. Step 2: Sand the Wood - Lightly sand the wood to create a smooth surface and open the pores for better oil penetration. Use 120-grit sandpaper for best results. See Figure 2.
3. Step 3: Apply the Oil - Using a brush, roller, or sprayer, apply a thin, even coat of hardwood decking oil to the wood. Work in the direction of the grain. See Figure 3.
4. Step 4: Allow to Penetrate - Let the oil penetrate the wood for 15-20 minutes. This allows the oil to soak into the wood fibers. See Figure 4.
5. Step 5: Wipe Off Excess Oil - Use a clean cloth to wipe off any excess oil from the surface. This prevents a sticky or glossy finish. See Figure 5.
6. Step 6: Allow to Dry - Allow the oil to dry completely for 24-48 hours before using the deck. See Figure 6.
