- Step 4: Allow to Penetrate: Allow the oil to penetrate the wood for 15-20 minutes.
- Step 5: Wipe Off Excess: Wipe off any excess oil with a clean, dry cloth. This prevents a sticky or uneven finish.
- Step 6: Apply a Second Coat (if needed): For extra protection, apply a second thin coat after the first coat has dried completely (usually 24-48 hours). Repeat steps 4 and 5.
- Step 7: Allow to Dry: Allow the decking oil to dry completely for 48-72 hours before using the deck.
