How to Use (Step-by-Step)
- Step 1: Prepare the Surface: Clean the area to be filled, removing any loose debris, rust, or old paint. Sand the surface lightly to create a better bond – See Figure 1.
- Step 2: Mix the Filler: Thoroughly mix the styrene-free filler with the appropriate hardener (follow the hardener manufacturer's instructions for the correct ratio). Mix only the amount you can use within the working time to avoid waste – See Figure 2.
- Step 3: Apply the Filler: Use a spatula or filling knife to apply the mixed filler evenly over the damaged area. Press firmly to ensure good adhesion, and slightly overfill the area to allow for sanding – See Figure 3.
- Step 4: Curing Time: Allow the filler to cure completely according to the hardener's instructions. Curing times can vary depending on temperature and humidity – See Figure 4.
- Step 5: Sanding: Once cured, sand the filled area smooth with progressively finer grits of sandpaper until it is flush with the surrounding surface – See Figure 5.
- Step 6: Finishing: Clean the sanded area and apply primer and paint as needed to match the surrounding finish – See Figure 6.
