1. Step 1: Prepare the Surface: Ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and free from any previous finishes. Sand the wood smooth for best results – See Figure 1.
2. Step 2: Apply the Hard Wax Oil: Stir the oil well before use. Apply a thin, even coat using a brush, roller, or lint-free cloth. Work in the direction of the wood grain – See Figure 2.
3. Step 3: Allow Penetration: Let the oil penetrate the wood for about 5-10 minutes. This allows the oil to soak into the wood fibers – See Figure 3.
4. Step 4: Remove Excess Oil: Use a clean, lint-free cloth to wipe away any excess oil from the surface. This prevents a sticky or uneven finish – See Figure 4.
5. Step 5: Drying Time: Allow the surface to dry completely for at least 24 hours before light use. Full cure may take up to 7 days – See Figure 5.
