Wanted to know if you can leave the lanterns outside in winter and if they still light up then.

The lanterns can in principle stay outside, however, the solar performance in the winter months is greatly reduced due to shorter days and less sun. A permanent lighting function is then not guaranteed. For optimal life, storage in a protected place in winter is recommended.

Bamboo is a natural material that can change over time outdoors (patina). Special care is not absolutely necessary. However, for a longer preservation of the original color and to protect against the weather, the bamboo can be treated with a suitable wood preservative.

Two lanterns are well suited for atmospheric accent lighting on a 10 m² balcony. Each lantern creates a circle of light about 1-2 meters in diameter for atmospheric lighting. Position them 2 to 4 meters apart, depending on the desired intensity.
