With a compressed air sandblasting gun, you can remove stubborn dirt from surfaces. The device blows a mixture of air and a blasting media such as sand at high pressure onto metal or glass surfaces. Paint residue, rust, plaster, or oil are removed quickly and effectively. A sandblasting gun consists of a container for the blasting media, a compressed air connection to the compressor, and a blasting nozzle.
Before use, fill the 600 cm³ blasting media container with suitable sand. The correct grit size is 0.125 to 0.355 mm. The compressed air is generated by an external compressor, which you attach to the compressed air connection with a standard ¼-inch connection using a quick-coupling system. The sandblasting gun expels the air-sand mixture through the nozzle. Therefore, the air flow and pressure indicate the efficiency of the device. With the Westfalia compressed air sandblasting gun, you can achieve a working pressure of 6 bar, which you can read off the compressor's pressure gauge. The maximum air flow is 200 l per minute.
The Westfalia compressed air sandblasting gun is operated by hand, so weight plays a significant role during continuous use. The housing of the device is made of plastic and weighs a mere 450 g. Considerable strength is required to operate the heavy sand container, which is filled with sand. Therefore, the flexible gun is particularly suitable for temporary use for small repairs and large areas.
Remember to wear protective clothing when working with the sandblasting gun. Dust is created, which you can protect yourself from with respiratory protection, safety goggles, gloves, and a hood. You can reduce noise pollution with hearing protection.
