When the DB introduced a new color scheme for its cars in 1970 with the "Pop colors," the A single newly built dining car, type WRümh 132, was repainted in pebble gray/purple. It was initially used on the blue F trains, later on various TEE and IC trains, such as the TEE "Saphir" to Brussels. However, January 10, 1974, proved to be a fateful day for this attractively colored loner when it was irreparably damaged in a shunting accident in Brussels.
