Expert tip:Flexible cables are usually used to connect appliances and ceiling lights. The stripped ends of screw connections must not be simply twisted or soldered. Experience has shown that such connections in lamp terminals or similar devices can quickly become loose and build up high contact resistance (risk of fire from sparks). Flexible individual wires must therefore be fitted with wire end ferrules, which are then crimped using special wire end ferrule pliers.
