Brand GartenMeister

An idyllic eye-catcher for any garden and essential for our ecosystem. These little guests fly into their shelter around the clock and in every season. Offer shelter to these small and extremely industrious nest builders like ladybugs, butterflies, wild bees, parasitic wasps, lacewings, and earwigs, and contribute your own part to species conservation.

Because one thing is certain: no one combats pests like mites, aphids, and the like as effectively as our little critters. Insect hotels are best received in the sun, because it's still nicest in the warmth.

Enough for at least 100 little critters.

Application period: All year round

Material: pine, bamboo, pine

Dimensions:

  • L x W x D approx.: 40 x 28 x 9 cm

Gardener's tip:

The ideal location for an insect hotel is full sun and protected from the weather. This ensures, on the one hand, that the necessary warmth for breeding is available, and, on the other hand, that the insects accept the artificial habitat. A side effect is that the natural materials used last as long as possible. Furthermore, as many herbs, flowering wild plants, as well as native shrubs and trees as possible should be found in the vicinity to meet the insects' nutritional needs. The flight path for the insects should be on the side facing away from the weather and be easily visible to the insects. For some species, it is also ideal if sufficient clay, sand, and water are provided either in one of the compartments or nearby on the ground.
