The FRITZ!Box 6890 LTE from AVM is the first router that can be used with both DSL connections and mobile networks. For internet connection, either an integrated 4G/3G modem or a VDSL modem including Supervectoring 35b for internet speeds of up to 300 Mbps is available. State-of-the-art high-end Wi-Fi AC+N ensures even greater range and significantly higher speeds of up to 2,533 Mbps. The FRITZ!Box 6890 LTE connects all computers, smartphones, tablets, televisions, printers, and other network-capable devices to the home network with the usual convenience. Gigabit LAN, USB 3.0, and the telephone system with DECT base station and ports for ISDN and analog telephones complete the versatile communications offering.

High speed on all connections

The FRITZ!Box 6890 LTE transmits on five LTE and two UMTS frequencies and supports roaming for surfing on all mobile networks. Speeds of up to 300 Mbit/s can be achieved via both LTE and DSL. It can also be used with any DSL connection. With VDSL Supervectoring, the FRITZ!Box already supports the future standard for transmission rates of up to 300 Mbit/s. This triples the speed on the DSL connection, allowing downloads of huge data packets to occur at record speeds. The FRITZ!Box 6890 LTE can be used with both IP and conventional DSL connections (optionally with analog or ISDN telephony) from all providers.

High-end Wi-Fi AC+N with up to 2,533 Mbps

With its innovative Wi-Fi features, the FRITZ!Box 6890 LTE is ideal for a home network with a large number of Wi-Fi devices. The advanced multi-antenna technology (4x4 Multi-User MIMO) enables an optimal connection to several Wi-Fi devices used simultaneously. At the same time, thanks to dual Wi-Fi, the FRITZ!Box 6890 LTE transmits in parallel in the 2.4 GHz (Wi-Fi N) and 5 GHz (Wi-Fi AC) frequency bands, effectively providing two Wi-Fi networks and achieving total data rates of up to 2,533 Mbps. Broadband-intensive applications can thus be used in parallel and on multiple wireless devices – without any loss of speed or stability. Multi-User MIMO further increases data throughput in the home network, and wireless devices that also support MU-MIMO benefit from maximum speed through simultaneous data transmission.

Telephony options for every need

Analog and ISDN telephones as well as up to six DECT cordless telephones (e.g., FRITZ!Fon) can be registered with the integrated PBX. Via Wi-Fi, smartphones also become fully-fledged landline/VoIP telephones. Several integrated answering machines, local and online phone books, and numerous convenient features round out the FRITZ!Box 6890 LTE's wide range of telephony options. Smart home devices such as the FRITZ!DECT 200 and 210 switchable power outlets and the FRITZ!DECT 301 radiator control can also be controlled via the DECT base station.

Versatile Multimedia Functions

The FRITZ!Box 6890 LTE brings all connected USB storage devices, online storage, and the content stored on them into the home network. Thanks to the integrated media server with NAS connection, stored films, music, and pictures are made available and can be distributed to playback devices, for example, via a tablet or smartphone. USB 3.0 ensures extra-fast data transfer. The FRITZ!Box 6890 LTE thus forms a powerful platform for networked multimedia applications such as IPTV, video on demand, or streaming. The FRITZ!Box 6890 LTE remains extremely economical in consumption thanks to several automatic Eco Mode functions.
