Schönmühlen is a popular medium-sized layout with an interesting track section that leads over two bridges and through two tunnels. Its special charm lies in its charming little town with a church, train station, and goods shed, as well as a small lake and a country road with an unguarded level crossing. The special eye-catcher, however, is a functioning watermill whose water wheel is powered by a water circuit with a pump. In addition, two railway circuits, a siding, and a passing track allow for varied railway operations.
