As if someone were really at home... The "HOMESHADOWS" presence simulator projects moving shadows onto windows with curtains and blinds or onto walls to simulate the presence of house occupants and thus deter burglars – with a clever extra: computer-generated algorithms ensure constantly new movement variations of the LED light. The crooks will not recognize a recurring pattern, therefore they will assume that the house is actually occupied and will prefer not to approach the seemingly occupied house. Activation occurs automatically in the dark via a twilight sensor.
The founders: Gerd Wolfinger & Roland Huber
A break-in in his own home – this unpleasant experience had a lasting impact on founder Gerd Wolfinger – and gave him the idea for HOMESHADOWS, the authentic presence simulator. As an engineer with over 27 years of experience in product development and quality assurance, he took over the technical conception, while his long-time friend and marketing expert Roland Huber made the product market-ready. Together, the two friends ultimately impressed on "The Lion's Den" – much to the burglars' horror!
