  • Specially designed for grafting work on trees, shrubs, and ornamental trees.
  • Also suitable for wound closure and wound treatment (pruning, thinning, etc.) of sensitive plants.
  • Excellent plant compatibility.
  • Plant strengthener made from selected, high-quality natural resins and waxes.

Lauril tree wax forms an elastic, protective film that promotes healing and protects the wound site from external influences such as drying out. Lauril tree wax is made from natural resins and waxes that the tree itself secretes for its healing process and has proven effective in all grafting processes and for wound closure on fruit and ornamental trees. Lauril tree wax promotes callus formation (wound tissue), thus promoting rapid wound healing and the fusion of rootstock and scion. Dried tree wax can be spread again by warming it up.

Grafting made easy

Pruning fruit and ornamental trees is an important maintenance measure. It improves flowering and yield. At the same time, it helps prevent fungal disease infestation. Well-pruned trees have a light crown in which the foliage dries quickly, making it harder for fungal diseases to develop. Pruning also includes the grafting of fruit trees, a popular method for preserving more varieties in one's garden. After pruning, the wounds of fruit and ornamental trees must be closed to prevent pathogens from penetrating. Lauril tree wax is ideal for this purpose. It ensures rapid wound healing and is extremely plant-friendly. It is very easy to process in a wide temperature range from 5°C to approximately 30°C. It remains equally elastic and weather-resistant in both heat and cold. Many gardens contain fruit trees with varieties that no longer please the gardener, for example, due to their unattractive taste. Such trees do not need to be felled immediately; they can be regrafted. The cut site is professionally sealed with Lauril tree wax. The preparation protects the cut site from drying out and thus enables the growth of new scions. Crucial to successful grafting is the proper trimming of the scions. The scions must then be firmly tied with raffia. The raffia-wrapped area is then carefully coated with Lauril tree wax.
