Ask a question to learn more about the productL'Orenoque was one of the first French mixed-propulsion frigates, built in 1848. She displaced 2,568 tons. Although equipped with a mechanical propulsion system that was advanced in design, she retained the typical mast construction of frigates of the period. Barely armed, she was primarily used to transport troops. The rich superstructure, reproduced with refined skills and true to scale, the characteristic paddle wheels, and the classic mast give the model a novel and unique appearance.
Mamoli shipbuilding kits have been very popular for many years. A wide selection of diverse models and classic design features at an attractive price characterize this series. It has now been technically updated through the acquisition of the Dusek company. Today, all kits are manufactured using modern laser technology, ensuring a high degree of precision fit of the parts. Double hull planking is standard. Many fittings made of cast metal or wood, as well as multilingual assembly instructions and detailed blueprints, enhance this kit series.
All fittings in the kit are made of wood and metal and largely prefabricated. The model has a second layer of planking. German assembly instructions are included. Material for the stand completes the kit's features.
