With the Teutoburg Senne City E-Bike, you can move safely and comfortably through the city, supported by the integrated electric motor. This gives you a range of up to 50 kilometers. The display provides you with information about the selected support level during your ride. With the 7-speed derailleur gears from Shimano and the full city equipment, nothing stands in the way of your next shopping trip. V-brakes at the front and rear ensure your safety. The bike is also equipped with a battery-powered light set, making it approved for use on public roads according to the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (STVZO).
The range of a pedelec depends, among other things, on the following factors:
- Selected support level
- Bike load (weight of rider plus luggage)
- Terrain profile (flat / uphill / downhill)
- Selected gear
- Surface (asphalt, dirt road, gravel road, forest floor, muddy ground)
- E-bike type and tires
- Tire pressure
- Battery charge level
- Outside temperature
- Wind conditions
- Cadence
Your personal range is determined by a combination of the factors listed above and has a very wide range between approximately 25% - 150% of the stated range. The best range values are achieved with a medium assistance level, the lowest possible gear at a high cadence, a load weight including luggage of 75 kilograms, maximum permissible tire pressure, a flat surface, an outside temperature of 20°C, no wind, a paved surface, and a fully charged battery. A pedelec should not be confused with a gasoline- or electric-powered vehicle. The range of a pedelec is the sum of the human and electrical power.
