More milk through more light
Lighting duration, light intensity, and light color have a major impact on lactation, fertility, and animal well-being. Lighting management is therefore particularly important in dairy farming.
High switching stability
On – Off – On – Off… Unlike energy-saving or fluorescent lamps, these robust LEDs are practically immune to frequent switching. This makes them ideal for intensive switching operations with motion detectors.
Instant full light output
Energy-saving or discharge lamps require a warm-up phase, sometimes lasting several minutes, to reach full brightness. With LEDs, this scenario is a thing of the past, as they offer 100% light output immediately after switching on.
Full light output even at low temperatures
LEDs operate very efficiently even at low temperatures and are therefore ideal for use outdoors or in unheated buildings. While an LED tube, for example, continues to emit full light output at an ambient temperature of 0°C, a typical fluorescent tube designed for ambient temperatures of 20°C only reaches 40-60% of its maximum value.
No attraction to insects
Unlike the human eye, insect eyes are particularly sensitive to ultraviolet radiation (UV). While the high-pressure mercury vapor lamps commonly used in the past acted like vacuum cleaners for millions of insects due to their high UV content, the light emitted by LEDs is considered very insect-friendly – it contains virtually no UV radiation.
No additional heat input
The light emitted by an LED remains cool – in contrast to thermal radiators such as halogen or incandescent lamps, where a large portion of the energy is converted into infrared radiation and thus into heat. Although heat is generated in the electronics of LEDs, it is not radiated towards the object being illuminated.
Safe operation
Due to their high energy efficiency, CO2 emissions remain correspondingly low. Since LED lights do not contain mercury, their operation is completely safe, and disposal can be carried out via municipal waste collection points. Naturally, all our products meet the requirements of Directive 2002/95/EC on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS).
