In The Queen's Gambit: The Board Game, you attempt to capture chess pieces by playing with the foresight of Beth from the Netflix series The Queen's Gambit. Each player has their own Gambit piece, which they move around the chessboard. You capture the chess pieces placed there by making your move so that your piece ends up on one of the pieces.
You always plan three moves in advance by each player placing three cards depicting chess pieces face down in front of them. The player whose turn it is reveals their first card and moves the Gambit piece according to the chess piece on the card. They then choose a new card from their hand to refill their row. The game ends as soon as all chess pieces have been captured. The player with the most valuable tiles wins.
