The plates are mounted at vulnerable locations in the engine compartment. A piezoelectric sound transducer operates at a frequency of 12 kHz at intervals of 22 seconds. Martens avoid this frequency range. People and pets are not affected.
Installation must be carried out by a specialist workshop.
