Instability of the lateral ligament system leads to pain when the elbow is repeatedly bent. The extensor muscles of the forearm try in vain to compensate for this and become overloaded. This leads to increased pain. The elbow bandage supports the affected area and thus relieves pressure on the corresponding parts of the body. The bandage is placed around the joint and closed with the Velcro fastener on the bandage at any point with the individually desired tension. The more the bandage is stretched when applied, the more pressure is placed on the joint.
