Application

• Gain access and remove the cabin filter: Cleaning the air conditioning system should always be combined with changing the cabin filter. To do this, access to the filter must be cleared. It is located either in the vehicle interior under the dashboard or is installed in the upper part of the engine compartment. The installation instructions, which are usually included with the cabin filter, describe how to access it. The following describes the case where the filter is located under the glove compartment.
• To reach the evaporator, the cabin filter must be removed. To do this, first remove the cover of the filter housing, then remove the filter. Observe the airflow direction! Then you know where the air conditioning evaporator is located. The dirty side is always on the outside! The evaporator is therefore located towards the clean side.
• Insert the probe: Insert the probe towards the evaporator and then place it on the spray can.
• Clean: Spray SONAX Profiline Air Conditioning Cleaner continuously for approximately 20-30 seconds. Carefully move the probe back and forth to ensure that the evaporator is covered with the cleaner over as large an area as possible. Wait a few minutes and then repeat the application. Pull the probe back completely at the end. Excess product may drip out of the air conditioning water drain under the vehicle.
• Assembly: Replace the cabin air filter as needed and reinstall it. Install the covers. The vehicle can be used normally immediately. Annual application is recommended.
