Ask a question to learn more about the productGerman craftsmanship meets sharp steel: When Petromax's engineering meets the tradition of Solingen, the city of blades, the result is special chef's knives, developed and crafted with precision and passion.
Two years passed from the initial design in the Drachenwerkstatt (dragon workshop) to production in Solingen, a city known for its high-quality knives. The result is three individual chef's knives from Petromax that true outdoor cooks can rely on.
Each knife is unique and handcrafted. With the particularly sharp chef's knives from this traditional German brand, meat, vegetables, and other ingredients can be professionally cut in the outdoor kitchen. The blade, sharpened by master craftsmen, glides effortlessly through any cutting material.
Solingen is known worldwide for the craftsmanship of its blacksmiths and grinders. Swords, knives, and scissors have been produced in the city of blades since the 13th century, as streams and the associated mills provided a significant amount of energy. Long tradition and skilled craftsmanship are hallmarks of Solingen knives, which stand out for their high cutting resistance. The constant alternation of cold and heat during the processing of the steel is a hallmark of German blacksmithing: the knife cools quickly but evenly in the oil bath. Oil-hardening ensures that the knives stay sharp longer and require less sharpening. All-purpose knives, chef's knives, and cleavers are available.
